James Bacon Obituary

James Allen Bacon, Scranton, died Wednesday at the VNA Hospice inpatient unit at Community Medical Center.

Born in Camden, N.J., son of the late James and Sarah Bacon, he was educated in Camden public schools and was employed in the paving industry before his illness.

Jim had a great sense of humor, and was a loving father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are a daughter, Sarah Nicole Chandler, Scranton; a son, Jamar Chandler, Paterson, N.J.; and four grandchildren, Sahara, Lordnaisha, Jamar and Kamera Chandler.

The funeral will be Thursday with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. John Neumann Parish at Nativity of Our Lord Church, Scranton. Interment, private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements by the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton.
