Robert (Bobby) A. Mariotti, 77, of Old Forge, son of the late Louis and Sistina Mariotti, died on Jan. 15, 2024.
Bobby graduated from Old Forge High School in 1963. He was a proud Penn State alum. When a young man, he served as a reservist in the United States military. For decades Bobby worked alongside his father; brothers, Eugene (Jeanne) and Louis (Mary); his sons, and several nephews at their family business, Mariotti Building Products.
He was preceded in death by his devoted and loving wife, Kathy (2008). Robert and Kathy were blessed with three children, Robert Jr. (Karina), Paul (Dorothy), Kathleen Mariotti-Petty; and 12 grandchildren, Christopher, John, Julia Mariotti-Staudenmeier (Taillon), Laura, Cecilia, Luke, Sadie, Brian, Noah, David, Adam and Peter (2008).
Bobby will always be remembered for who he truly was a fun, loving, good-natured and generous person. Bobby's family and friends will forever cherish the many good times they experienced with him.
In lieu of flowers and memorial donations, the Mariotti family would deeply appreciate masses of remembrance to be offered for the Robert and Kathy Mariotti family at St. Peter's Cathedral, Scranton.
