Jerry Bennett Obituary
age 81, of Toccoa, passed
away Saturday, July 12,
2025.
Born Feb. 9, 1944, in
Carnesville, Ga., he was
the son of the late Boyd
Alvin and Joyce Viola Ful-
ghum Bennett.
Mr. Bennett was retired
from Coats & Clark with
over 30 years of loyal and
dedicated service. After re-
tirement, he enjoyed
restoring Cushman motor-
cycles, peddle tractors and
camping. He was a mem-
ber of New Hope Baptist
Church.
Family members in-
clude his beloved wife of
62 years, Bonnie Faye Sos-
by Bennett; sons, Donald
Bennett and Brian Bennett
(Tiffany); daughter,
LaDonna Harris (Mark);
grandchildren, Joseph
Bennett, Casey Robinson,
JoAnna Esco, Boyd Ben-
nett, Chloe Bennett, Park-
er Bennett and Kenyon
Harris; great-grandchil-
dren, Xavier Robinson,
Easton Robinson and Beck
Esco; sisters, Joan Keller,
Linda Williams and Max-
ine Bennett; and brother,
Cary Bennett.
In addition to his par-
ents, he was preceded in
death by his brothers,
Aaron Bennett, Steve Ben-
nett and Danny Wells.
The family will receive
friends at the mortuary
from 1 p.m. until the ser-
vice time Saturday, July
19, 2025.
Memorial services will
be held from the Chapel of
Whitlock Mortuary at 3
p.m. Saturday, July 19,
2025, with Rev. Brandon
Crunkleton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, dona-
tions may be made to
Whitlock Mortuary, 120
Rose Lane, Toccoa, GA
30577 to help with final ex-
penses.

Fred and I have such fond memories of Jerry. He was so friendly and nice to be around. We used to do the Halloween Carnival together at Carnesville Elementary School and had so much fun doing it. We are praying for all that knew and loved our sweet Hunter´s Creek neighbor!
