Lillian Rita Briggs

Funeral Services for Lillian Rita Briggs will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013 in the chapel of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home, with Major Ken Nelson and Major Leann Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery, Effie.

Visitation will be held on 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home

Lillian Rita Briggs, 89, of Alexandria passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 in Riverside Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband Riley Otis Briggs and their son Sam Briggs.

Lillian was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army. She worked as an LPN at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital and at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas. Lillian also did private duty nursing. She will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memories include her son Walter R. Briggs and his wife Debbie of Pineville; her daughter Kitty M. Vickers of Alexandria; two granddaughters: Bonnie Vickers and Cristy Flourney and her husband James; one sister Vera Adams, of Alexandria.

MRS.LILLIAN YOU ARE A SPECIAL YOU HAVE WORK HARD ALL OF YOUR LIFE.YOU ALSO HELP A LOT OF PEOPLE WHEN THEY WERE SICK IN THE HOSPITAL.SO MANY PEOPLE APPRECIATED ALL THE THINGS YOU DONE FOR THEM AND THAIR FAMILY.YOU WERE A OUT STANDING NURSE SWEET AND KIND ALWAYS HADE A GREAT SMILE ON YOUR FACE.YOU WERE A SISTER,WIFE,MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER AND A TRUE FRIEND.MAY GOD BE WITH YOUR FAMILY AT THIS DIFFICULT TIME.RITA FAYE BROOKS/7/28/17/LOUISIANA
