Funeral services celebrating the life of Robert Elmer Robinson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the Hwy 1 Church of God, Lena, with Reverend Carl Wheatly officiating. Burial will follow in Bay Springs Cemetery, Chopin, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.

Visitation will be observed at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and resume at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Wayne McFarland, Keith Allen, Bob Allen, Brad Beebe, David Dupre, Ray Pender and Keith Stokes.

Robert Elmer Robinson, 64, of Lena, passed from this life on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

During his working life he had managed several auto body shops in the area over the years and was an Insurance Adjuster with Direct Insurance, receiving many awards. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Eddie Rose Guin Robinson; brother, Ernest Wayne Robinson and sisters, Mary Louise Robinson Rougeou and Corrine Edda Robinson Sober.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Elizabeth Brouillette Robinson; daughters, Cassie Robinson Till and husband, Ronnie of Avondale, Rachel Robinson Tregre and husband, Ken of Gonzales, Tammy Robinson Broadway and husband, Jay of Provencal and Jana Robinson Massy and husband, Jon of Fortville, Indiana; son, Christopher Elmer Robinson and wife, Joni of Pitkin; stepchildren, David Foshee and wife Heather of Tioga, Wendy Charrier of Pineville and Cindy Deville and husband, Kyle of Deville; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandson; special cousin, Alton Peavy and wife, Veronica of DeRidder and a host of other family members and friends.
