Joseph Scola Obituary

JOSEPH LEVIO SCOLA

August 25, 2005 to November 19, 2023

He was born on Aug. 25, 2005 and taken beyond to soon from all on Nov. 19, 2023. He was removed from all whom loved him in a tragic car accident on Hwy 20.

He loved everyone, his love was blindly given as he accepted everyone equally.

He was a National Guard Combat Medic, he graduated early to obtain his goal. He had plans to ship out & upon his return he wanted to join the CHP along with the IHC-Hotshots/USFS. His plans were big like his heart and both had NO limits.

Joseph Scola is survived by his mother Billie Alvarez-Declusin, his Step Father Barry Phillips, his two brothers Jordan Scola and Benjamin Declusin and his sister Riley Declusin. Along with anyone who ever loved him...

We will love others as you have done, We Love You Always.

If you would like to attend his services, please contact his mother or if you would like to make a donation to another passion of his; please donate to Nevada County All Vets Stand Down on his behalf.

Thank you to all who made my son smile.

Joe had a huge heart, and never refused to help his friends and family. He was always there for the people that mattered to him, and he was always strong in mind and spirit.

Joe, you will be forever missed. Your presence on this earth will not go forgotten. We all miss and love you. Thank you for everything you did for us. Thank you for everything.

Joseph was a very fine young man. I met him when he took my granddaughter Elizabeth to homecoming last year. We then had him over for BBQ'd lamb dinner not long afterwards. He was so polite and thoughtful and wanted to clean up all the dinner dishes. Over the next few months, I thought, why don't other parents teach their kids to be that mannerly and adult? He definitely wanted to please and be helpful and that makes sense with his career choice. That was who he was. I was not able to attend his memorial, as I was out of town caring for elderly parents at the time, but Elizabeth was there. She was visibly upset and had said, I had just talked to him a few days before! Like this cannot be happening! Many of Joseph's friends said the same thing. We have the little handkerchief with a blessing on his memory and it was so very sweetly expressed. Joseph, you will never be forgotten. You were an extraordinary person and your life ended far too soon but you did leave good things behind with your friends and family. Rest in peace, Joseph. God bless you and keep you forever.

I only met him a few times, but it was clear to me he had a huge heart and he was something special.

I am certain God already has put him to work.
