I did not have the privileg of knowing Mr Betteridge but one thing is sure, he left some terrific prints through his son Terry. I sincerely hope that solace will come through kindness, prayers and love of all your family and friends.

To Jimmy and Peter and family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. I'll never forget going into the store to buy an engagement ring and how great he was. My heart felt sympthy to your family.

Awful sorry hear of Bert's passing. He was a great guy! He'd often stop by our machine shop with little projects, and at times just to shoot the breeze. With his wide ranging interests, he was fun to work and converse with.
He once brought us a bag full of his special treat, jumbo dates from the Sphinx Date Ranch. I still order them to this day. He was right, they are the best!
Godspeed Bert... and thanks.

Aloha Terry and Pete,
It is consoling that my very dear friend continues to live through his children. Since we are individuated expressions of Spirit, like energy, we are not lost. We simply change our structure. The conservation of energy is the conservation of Spirit.
Bert was one of my father's best friends before his passing at age 53 in l972. My father would delight in coming home and telling the family of his latest story with Bert. So, when in l965 I was suspended from my freshman year of college for attempting a basic right of passage of every young man, I filled the time in Bert's employ over the Christmas season. I was the go-fer and every Friday afternoon, Bert would ask me to go down the street to Bon-Ton's fishmarket and get fresh shrimp and shrimp cocktail. We had a weekly gathering after 5 PM on Fridays. This was my first-hand introduction to Bert as a CLASS ACT. I learned what was behind that big grin and twinkling eyes. What a treat to have loved Bert as my father had. Bert taught me how to BE, how to treat people with hands-on impeccability and integrity. So had my father. Bert reinforced it with delight.
Bert has been one of the most outstanding people in my life. I am very grateful to have known him during those indelible weeks. And to know Terry and Pete are carrying on Bert in their own way. Thank you, Guys! I raise a hearty toast to Bert and to you!
A hui hou, Tek
