Mikhail Popov Obituary

POPOV Mikhail Popov. Grieving friends are announcing the death of Mikhail Popov, 45, who passed away on July 28, 2012. Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Mikhail immigrated to the United States in 1990. For many years Mikhail served as company pianist and then music director of BalletMet Columbus, organist/pianist at Temple Israel and Olentangy Christian Reformed Church, organist/choir director of The Church of St. Edward, and performed locally and nationally as a freelance pianist. Mikhail is survived by his parents, Yury Popov and Mila Zuliar; and his sister, Tatiana Ivanova, all of St. Petersburg, Russia. Funeral service for Mikhail will be held on Friday, August 10, 7:30 p.m., at Olentangy Christian Reformed Church, 3660 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43214. Contributions may be sent to the church with the memo Mikhail Popov.
