Roger Sunday

Roger Sunday's spirit left us on April 3, at age 75. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine & Steve Sunday, and son, Bryan. He is survived by his wife, Judy Hibdon; sister, Janice Sunday (Terry Foutz); brother, Gregg Sunday (Julie); daughters of his first marriage to Luana Sunday, Anastasia Sunday (Chris Hubbell); Jenni Schaffer (Bryan); & Tamara Burhenn (Chad); and his step-son, Tom Hibdon (Susan). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one great step-grandchild. Roger was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He served in the US Army, stationed part of the time in Korea. He received his degree in business from Southern Illinois University. He moved to Colorado in 1972 where most of his career was spent as an entrepreneur beginning with his oil business, Wesx. He continued to create and build businesses until his retirement. He played an active role in his grandchildren's lives and loved family gatherings. Roger was a competitive golfer, loved the sport, and was a member of Fox Hill Golf and Country Club. He made friends everywhere he went and was always eager to offer a hand when needed. He had a zest for life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Celebration of Life Ceremony will be at the Fox Hill Country Club, Longmont, CO, on May 6th from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.
