Allie Behling Obituary

BEHLING, Allie Mae Oliver, age 86, of Midlothian, formerly of Crewe, departed this life peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. She was born in the St. Mark's community in 1924, widow of Robert E. Behling Sr., who died in 2003. She was a bookkeeper for WSVS Radio for 17 years and retired from the County of Nottoway after 7 years. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Amos and husband, Donnie; son, Robert E. "Rob" Behling Jr. and wife, Becky; grandchildren, Sara Amos, Devon Weisz and husband, Alex, Wendy Allred and husband, Ken, and Allen Behling; great-grandsons, Jacob and Harrison Allred; sisters, Ann Marshall and husband, Joe, Betty Jane Pritchard and husband, James. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2010 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Crewe Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home, 200 West Carolina Avenue, Crewe, on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 8254 Hungarytown Road, Crewe, Va. 23930.
