Ann Reinhardt Richmon

Ann Reinhardt Richmon, of Richmond Virginia, age 93, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 17, 2025. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Sidney Richmon, who died at age 95 after 73 ½ wonderful years of marriage. She is survived by her four children, Bob Richmon (Judy), Sandy Palyo, Mike Richmon (Diane) and Teki Hall (Jeff). She will also be missed by her six grandchildren Courtney Pfister (Mike), Jake Palyo (Katrina), Rachel Richmon, Jessica Hall, Scott Hall (Liz) and Victoria Hall. She was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved making their favorite meals and caring for them as they were growing up. No grandmother could be more dearly loved.

Ann will be remembered by her sharp wit and her fabulous kitchen skills. As Sid used to say," Ann could make chicken salad out of chicken shit!". She put those cooking skills to good use as the head chef of a restaurant she owned in Shockoe Slip in the early 80's called "The Bus Stop". She had a lunch following that was addicted to her home-made soups and daily specials. She loved sending her famous homemade strudel to friends and family for any occasion. It was a secret recipe that we are still hoping to uncover.

Ann lived a joyous life. The Richmon house was always a revolving door for all the kids in the neighborhood to hang out, enjoy a good meal, have some fun times, or get some good advice. She can rest easy knowing she was a fabulous mother and a devoted wife. We are at peace knowing she is reunited with her loving husband. She will be missed.

In lieu of food, flowers, etc., donations can be made in her memory to the Virginia Holocaust Museum (www.vaholocaust.org). This is dear to Ann as she and her family narrowly escaped the Nazi regime when her parents left everything and fled to America in 1937.

Per Ann's wishes, the funeral will be private with family at graveside.
