Bernice M. Tomlinson

Bernice M. Tomlinson, 79, of Emporia, widow of Fransom M. Tomlinson, died Monday, June 2, 2003. She is survived by four sons, Billy Tomlinson of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Ricky Tomlinson, Larry Tomlinson and Kenny Tomlinson, all of Emporia; four daughters, Judy Davis of Como, N.C., Brenda Hamilton of Roanoke Rapids, Patricia Tomlinson and Connie Jefferson, both of Richmond; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lee Floyd of Skippers and Teny Jones of Emporia; one brother, Willard Moss, also of Emporia. Mrs. Tomlinson was preceded in death by a son, Robert M. "Bobby" Tomlinson. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held graveside 2 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2003, at Emporia Cemetery.
