Condolences and love to Melody, Marland , and the Barnes“ family. Mr. Barnes will always be remembered as such a kindhearted neighbor. I am reminded of his smile along with a wave whenever I glance across the street. So many good memories for my family and me to cherish.

I worked with Deacon Barnes on the scholarship golf tournament fund raisers at Moore Street Missionary Baptist Church. His leadership and friendship was memorable. His absence is a loss to our community.

I had the pleasure of staffing and coaching his home caregivers. Mr. Barnes and I had many conversations about the "whys". Also we had conversations about sports, military life and about how much things have changed. I will certainly miss Mr. Barnes but comforted knowing he is resting in peace.
