Charles Liesfeld Obituary

LIESFELD, Charles Phillip, 86, of Short Pump, died Saturday, September 8, 2007. He was born July 12, 1921 in Henrico, the son of the late John and Katherine Liesfeld. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elnora Bussard Liesfeld. He is survived by five children, Mary Jane Taylor of Stuart, Charles P. Liesfeld Jr. of Chesterfield County, Carey Liesfeld of Hylas, Lawrence Liesfeld of Manakin-Sabot and Michael Liesfeld of Glen Allen. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and three sisters, Margaret Faulhaber, Teresa Buehren, and Katherine Williams. For 30 years, he was superintendant and general manager of Stern Realty Corp. of Richmond and later founded C.P. Liesfeld Construction Co., where he worked with his four sons until he retired. In retirement he continued farming. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theatre from 1942 to 1945. The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at his residence, 12130 Bacova Dr., Glen Allen, Va. 23059, where a Christian wake will be held at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church. Bliley's - Staples Mill is handling the arrangements.

Lawrence, Robin, Jake and Leisfield Family...
I am so very sorry. Your Dad was quite a prominent figure in the community and he was so very VERY proud of his FAMILY. He lived a long, successful life. I know you will miss him so very much.
