Dannie Ray Carter, Sr., 73, of Glen Allen, VA, died September 3, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy S. Carter and son, Dannie Carter, Jr. Surviving are two daughters, Rev. Makeda A. Carter and Aisha J. Carter; four sons, Brian (Crystal) and Bernard (Victoria) Beckham, Stephen Williams (Rocio) and Maurice Carter; 13 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two sisters, Doretha Dixon and Carol Carter; host of other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Friday, September 13 from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. followed by the family receiving friends in Scott's Chapel from 6 to 7 p.m. and where funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14 at 2 p.m. Rev. Makeda A. Carter, officiating. Interment Quioccasin Baptist Church Cemetery.
