Eleanor Durham Davenport is my first cousin. Like her parents, she was unselfish and focused primarily on the needs of her family. Outside of family, Eleanor generously responded to help other individuals and support organizations and institutions. Eleanor provided thoughtful council to me and many others, always displaying genuine interest, insight and love. Throughout her life, Eleanor’s inner strength and determination was challenged as she deftly faced overwhelming circumstances and personal situations. Eleanor was also carefree and playful. She enjoyed meeting new people. She enjoyed trying new things. She loved a good joke. She loved me, and I loved her. Memories of Eleanor will comfort me and all who knew her.
