Isaac "Ike" Mooney

Isaac "Ike" Mooney, 85, of The Villages, Fla. passed away December 4, 2003 in Wildwood, Fla. He was born March 15, 1918 in Richmond, Va. and moved from Sandston, Va. 10 years ago. Mr. Mooney was the former owner/operator of Fairfield Tile and Marble Co. in Sandston, Va. and a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid golfer and loved playing bridge. He was a 50 year member of American Legion Post No. 242 of Sandston, Va. Survivors include his wife, Jean Mooney of The Villages, Fla.; sons, William A. Mooney of Topping, Va., Frank A. Mooney of The Villages, Fla., James W. Mooney of Richmond, Va., and Walter T. Mooney of Virginia Beach, Va.; daughters, Edith L. Powell of Mechanicsville, Va. and Marilyn M. Bristol of Hartford, Conn.; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial service for Mr. Mooney will be Monday 11 a.m. at Heirs-Baxley Funeral Services, Lady Lake, Fla.
