I never worked directly with Jim but I knew him quite well. The thing that I will remember the most about him was his sense of humor. I never knew when he was "pulling my leg" or when he was being serious until that endearing grin would show up. I know that he will be missed by his Family, Friends and all that knew him. May God bless all of us now and forever.

You were a very special friend to us. We will never say Goodbye, just so long, because we will see you again. You were blessed to have a wife like Judy. God Bless you and keep you safe, Judy. We love you.

I'm writing something only because I couldn't say them.....Mr. Fields was my FRIEND. From the times running together to talking sports, I always enjoyed his insight and his humor. I was very fortunate to spend time with him during his last weeks and days. My fondest memory will be last friday when we shared some ice cream and talked sports and God.....then took a nap.........I will miss him dearly and remember him always

I grew up with Jimmy. As cousins we were fortunate to live within the same neighborhood. Many days and evenings we would ride his big paper route wagon down "The Hill" and in winter snow time our sleighs. Many warm and wonderful memories come to mind. I will remember his gentle heart and his wonderful smile. Rest well my friend.

I met Jim in the 1st grade at Broad Rock Elementary School, and we were together, literally, all the way through high school. Our paths continued together with employment at DuPont. In fact, it was Jim that met me on my first day at DuPont, helped me obtain my safety equipment, and acclimated me to my new job. I fondly remember Jim's unique humor. But it wasn't until recent years that I became aware of his raw courage. He is truly one of my heroes. Because of God's grace through Jesus Christ, my path will again join Jim's one last time when I see him in heaven. For to those who belong to Christ, physical death is not the end, but the begining. It will be an intimacy with our Lord and with one another that has no pain, has no sickness, has no grief, and will last forever. Praise God that death is not the end. See you soon, Jim.
