My heart goes out to the Powers family, you will be in my prayers. Jason was such a great person to run with on the MHS track team and he had an awesome personality. Keep your eyes focused on the Lord and he will get you through anything.

Dearest Powers Family,
My heart aches for each of you during this time. My family knows what you are going through because "our Becky" and Jason went to be with the Lord at the same time. My heart literally feels like it is going to break and my chest feels like it is going to burst. I do believe that all things work for the good with God's plans and HIS purpose. However, it does not take away the human pain both mentally and physically. I do know that it is important to take one day at a time (maybe one minute at a time) and continue with "LIFE". I have read the Legacy for Jason and based on what I have read and knowing "my Becky", it would be important for our families to continue to enjoy living.

I send out my deepest condolences for the loss, because it was a great one. jason was a good human being, and i regret that we didn't keep in touch as much after highschool. i have known him since i was 4, and grew up just down the street. we rode the same bus for years, had many of the same teachers and classes for years, played on the same baseball team for a year, and through all of the changes we each made in our lives, he remained a good, caring, kind person, who was good to his friends, and a great person to have as a friend. jason is greatly missed, but he will never be forgotten. i just consider myself fortunate to have had him as a friend, and to have had the oppurtunity to know him. my thoughts and prayers go out to all of jason's family, and other friends.

Most of you dont know who I am, Adam will. I have known Adam and Jason for I guess going on 12 or 13 years through baseball and school. I am terribly sorry to hear the news about Jason, and it still has not sunk in with me, so I can only imagine what you all are going through.
I will remember several things about Jason. The cars, the jobs, track, and that laugh and smile. He was always very enthusiastic about everything, and his genuine love of life showed through in everything he did, as you well know.
My last memory of Jason was when I saw him Saturday two weeks before the accident. He was in the bank, and we struck up a conversation, and he was bouncing off the walls talking about his new blackberry, and working for cingular, and how the blackberry decodes the messages you send hundreds of times. I was having a horrible morning, but seeing him and talking to him for just a few moments brightened my morning.
Jason was a model human being and will be missed by all he knew.
If we can do anything, please let my wife and I know. I am sorry this message has turned into a novel :)

Hey John-Boy,
I can't imagine losing a child, especially one so young. I never met Jason, but I listened to you talk about him many times. You beamed with pride at his great track career. Listening at the funeral today, I knew He was special to so many people. His memory will live on in our hearts. If you need anything at all, just call me.

I don't believe any of you know me. I worked with Jason during the time he was at Sears, right away Jason and I hit it off pretty good, it didn't matter what was going on that day we would always find something to laugh at (mostly customers). His smile is what I remember most, he was always smiling always laughing. I know times are rough, I will pray for all of the family and friends. And I will always remember the smile.

There are "no words" that I can say to you to ease the pain that you are feeling. You are truly living every parents nightmare that only a few will ever understand. By reading the other entrees in this guest book, it's very obvious that Jason was a wonderful young man with an enormous amount of friends. This shows how much "Love" he was raised with and I am sure he felt that love within his heart.

Jason and I first met during a Cingular Wireless training session. We continued to stay in contact and later became roommates. There was always a genuine and powerful presence whenever he entered a room. He was always there in time of need for his friends and even the unknown. Jason was the most caring individual I've ever met. My thoughts and prayers are with the Powers family and all that have been touched by this extraordinary individual.

I had the privilege of working w/ Jason from time to time in the Chippenham store. He was a good guy that I enjoyed talking and working with. We often discussed cars and he would give me advice on what modifications would work well on my car. He will be greatly missed in our Cingular family as I know he will be amongst his own. I want to say how blessed I was to have worked with Jason. He was wonderfully positive and has never met a stranger. I will miss his smile and hearing his laugh. He has many friends at Cingular and all of us at the Chippenham store miss him so much. I was proud to not only be his manager, but his friend as well.

I have known JP for a very long time now; we grew up together playing association football. Throughout the years he has always been a really good friend and I can't ever recall seeing him in a bad mood, he always wanted to have fun when we were out. I got to hang out with him for a little while last Friday night, and I'm glad I got to see him because it had been a few months since we got to hang out. I'm very sorry this happened and I will never forget what a great friend he was!

I moved to Virginia from NC, back in October, and met Jason in November. We were in Cingular training together for 2 weeks before we started working at different locations. Jason had a way of making everyone feel welcome. My husband and I enjoyed hanging out with him a few times and had made plans to go to a concert or something soon. I will miss his friendly presence, joy, and intelligence. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Scarlet was a great 240 and I know she went to a good owner.
