Jetta Pate Obituary

Jetta Mae Pase Pate, 77, of Richmond, passed away January 2, 2005. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Messenger and their son, Daniel Clinton Messenger; and by her second husband, Lloyd L. Pate Sr. She is survived by her children, Joseph Messenger and his wife, Frances, Cheryl M. Cayting and her husband, Andy of California, and Lloyd L. "Louie" Pate Jr. and his wife, Juanita; four grandchildren, Melissa Mayes, Jody Messenger, Jeff Messenger and Anya Messenger; and six great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Emily, Haley, Scott and Jackson. Mrs. Pate was past president of CWA Local No. 2260. She was retired from AT&T and was a member of the Mechanicsville Moose Lodge. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday. Entombment Washington Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, Texas 75265 or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, P.O. Box 29119, Phoenix, Ariz. 85038.
