BOWLES, John Loren, 64, of Henrico, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 29, 2021. John was born April 24, 1957. He is survived by his loving mother, Jane Wiltshire Trice; stepfather, Carroll Trice; sister, Bonnie Graube; stepbrother, Jeff Trice; stepsister, Debbie Wells; nieces, Carla Cox and her husband, Ryan and Susan Florance; great-nieces, Vivienne Cox and Gracelyn Cox; stepmother, JoAnne Bowles; half-sister, Kathy Wilmoth; and half-brother, Tommy Bowles and his wife, Sara; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and his dear friends at Hope Tree. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Bowles. John worked in the cafeteria for the University of Richmond. When he wasn't working he loved spending time with his family and visiting Nags Head and Disney World. He was a collector of stuffed animals, shells, Disney movies, nutcrackers and Christmas houses. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home-Parham, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, Va. 23229. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park, 10000 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. 23238. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hope Tree Family Services, P.O. Box 849, Salem, Va. 24153. I have known John for over 20 years. He always had a smile on his face. John was very charming and eager to help. My sympathy goes out to Jane and Carrol and all of John´s family members as well as the many people who worked with John. He will certainly be missed.
