I have been waiting to sign this guest book; waiting to see who else would be signing it, hoping to see this turn into a sort of family reunion. We have been spread throughout the world, only on occassion crossing paths. In the case of Jack and myself it seems once every 35 years, except for some exchange of correspondence. In spite of not seeing each other for such a long time it is surprising how we feel the emptiness that comes as we see our friends and family go on to the next life. I hope we will have more time to be with each other when we meet next.
My condolences to you, Kathryn, during this painfully sad moment.

Dear Grandma Katie,
Lindsay and I are so sad to hear about Grandpa Jack's passing but we feel better knowing that Grandpa is now with our daddy John in heaven. The times that we spent together will never be forgotten and we love you and Grandpa very much ! Mommy is very sad also because she loves you both too. Grandpa Jack was the best Grandpa in the world and we will miss seeing him when we travel up to Richmond, but look forward to seeing you Grandma. Here is a picture of the last visit that you came to Florida for our birthdays. We love you and are praying for God to give you strength during the lonely times and comfort during the sad time.

Katie and Kaudie,
I too have fond memories of visits-whether they were in Oakton at Frannewood, at Aunt Callie's or at your home in Richmond. Was so sorry to see about Jack when Robert and Sharon forwarded the death notice to me. My thoughts are with you.

Katie and all
We are very sorry to hear of Jack's passing. We wish we had more opportunities to have visited with you all. We have wonderful memories though of all the family gatherings and visiting with you all when we lived in Charlottesville (now light years ago) and came over to Richmond.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Sara, Clif, and Caldwell
