Yesterday and Today I missed you more than ever. I'm sure there will be more days like this. At any given moment, something will remind me of you and I'm smiling and tearing or I'm breaking down crying. It's uncontrollable when it happens and unpredictable as well. I would do anything to give our parents their son back, give your children their father back, give Whitley her boo back, give the fami...ly their member back, give your friends there boy back, and just to have my brother back. Although I am grateful for the bond we shared, its difficult to continue without you. I'm at bittersweet time in my life right now...I just wish you were here so I can share it with you, laugh with you, debate or argue with you...just do the things that brothers and sisters do. I remember on mother's day when I was over Big Ma house and you was sitting down stairs and I started talking on the phone and all of sudden I could hear you laughing, so I turned around and asked you what was so funny and you came out and said "Because I Can't Believe My Little Tara Is Grown!!!" When I left I remember you yelling to me "I Love You"... I never thought that it would have been the last time that I heard you say that to me... Always smile down on us LJ... We know that you are in our hearts and that you are looking down on us!!! This is not the last time I will say "I Love You"!!!!

My Protector, My Bestman, My Brother...
There is no other bond like a siblings bond. Not saying it’s the greatest one…but it’s one of the best...and there is none like it. We had an unbreakable bond that only siblings could understand. We would get upset, argue, or fight but in that same moment we knew that it was all love. We still hugged like kids and you would sometimes greet me with a peck on the lips; I would tell you that you were nasty and I didn’t know where your lips had been. We could talk about each other but wouldn’t tolerate any one else to do the same. You were a tough guy…but that’s because I beat you up enough as kids. It paid off, because you were one of the few that I knew for sure would have my back, front, left, and right side. I am so very grateful to have had a little (big) brother to love, care after, get on my nerves, motivate, argue with, be proud of, and have someone proud of me. I was honored to have you as my best man and I’m even more honored to be an aunt to your children. You know I love them as if they were my own and will do anything in the world for them. Its difficult being away from Mom, Dad, Whit, Zahnae, and Lil Jay…so every now and again, sends them a sign and put a smile on their faces. I’m going to miss you…I love you….E-su-Ey

To the Winston family. Having the honor of only meeting LJ on a couple of occasions through my daughter, he was always very mannerable and polite. He had a beautiful smile that was a result of his wonderful personality. Though God has called him home, know that he is resting in our Father's loving arms. We will always ask why this unexpected loss happened because we are human, but know that our God makes no mistakes. Take heed in knowing that he was loved by all here on earth but God loved him more. Teach his children how to be proud of who they are and to honor their father by being the best that they can be. For that is what LJ would have wanted. I pray a special covering over these little ones for they have lost a father that adored and love them. May you find peace and joy in the legacy he has left you. He has left us phyically, but he has left you his babies to hold on to. God grant you peace during this very difficult time.
