To the McKee Family:

May God grant you peace and strenghth during this most difficult time. Jona was a true friend-brother-comrade of mine that I will miss tremendously. We shared some unbelievably good times in "the Land of the Morning Calm". The memorial service was truly a tribute to a most talented, giving, well respected man, that I know touched the lives of everyone that he met.

Sweet water and light laughter, "Jelly Man", until next we meet.

We are deeply saddened about the lostt of "Winfield." He was truly an outstanding young man. He contributed more to this world in his short life span than many individuals who live to be twice his age. You have a lot to be thankful for and should feel blessed to have had him for these years and to have so many happy memories. His life is truly a love story. The services were beautiful and what beautiful tributes were paid to him. A great son, soldier and survivor.

Jona--

I went to Hermitage High School with you. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, we even had the same birthday (September 13, 1953). I remember that because Capt Brydon let us go to lunch early that day after having the whole homeroom sing happy birthday to us. Being 15 at the time, we were both mortified. Although I really didn't know you that well, I felt you were probably a lot like me-quiet, shy and just a nice person in general. God bless your family during this difficult time. I know you will be missed.

My prayers are with the McKee family that their loss may be lightened by knowing Jona has been a special person, exorting special talents, and changed peoples lives in the areas most needed. He was more than a friend and personal coach, more than an inspiration and motivation, the word "blessing" seems like an understatement, but the phrase "a class by himself" does.

Jona, I will miss you more than you will ever know but your voice will always be in my head. Until we meet again.
