Lawrence Valentine Obituary

Lawrence Lee "Rock" Valentine departed this life on December 29, 2005. He is survived by his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Solomon and Lethia Valentine Sr.; eight brothers, Solomon Jr., Leonard, Anthony, Andre, James, Kent, Corey and Kevin Valentine; four sisters, Laura, Leatha A., Odessa Valentine and Tanya Carter; a devoted friend, Sharon Wright; three stepchildren, Lloyd, Cortez and Cornesha Wright; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Remains rest at Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave., Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, 12 noon at New Covenant Apostolic Holiness Church, 2129 Ford Ave. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.

Words cannot describe the pain and the lost I feel right now, for 12 years you have been a friend and a big brother I never had, the talks we had and laughter we shared will be forever remembered. To my sister Sharon, who world has been forever changed sis we`re going to get thru this it may seem very unreal to you right now, but God knew what was best. To the Valentine family, my love and prayers are with you. Rock has meant so much to both families that he's going to be missed so much. Look at them Steelers I know that is you up there, Steelers #1 fan !!! Forever " Bo"
