Ruby (Talley) Smith

Lucy Clyde helped me to research my family from Cumberland Co, VA. She was so gracious in taking me around and showing me where my family lived and worshiped (Thomas Chapel). We enjoyed her company at all of our Talley family reunions. We have corresponded over the years. I shall miss her.

As a student nurse at Virginia Baptist Hospital, I remember Miss Blanton when she was Director of Nursing there, probably '54-'55. (I was there from '53-'56.) She was interested in us as students and we were sorry when she left. The article in the paper about her was most interesting and an appropriate tribute. My sympathy to all her family. I e-mailed the article and obituary to a couple of my classmates who do not live in the area.

I was a student nurse at Virginia Baptist Hospital from 9/53 to 9/56. I remember her as a kind lady. My sympathy is with her family.
