Maureen Jones Obituary
Maureen was a kind, gentle soul, with an infectious laugh and beautiful dimples. But she also exhibited a resilient, tough side. She was a sister to five brothers. She met her future husband during a brief, one-sided snowball fight. She loved to dance, created home decor arts and crafts, was deeply devoted to her family and very active in her church. She resided with her husband in the Enon community of Chester from 1965 until 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Joan; and brothers Donald, Ronald, Wayne and Kenneth Black.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard A. Jones of Chesterfield; a brother, Randy Black (Kathyrn) of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; sisters-in-law, Viola Black, Carole Black and Marlene Black all of Charleroi, Pa.; a son, Scott A. Jones (Pamela) of Henrico; daughters, Sheri Burlew of Henrico, Stacy Jones (Richard) of Prince George and Kimberly Gryder (Ray) of Mechanicsville; grandchildren, Lindsey Bruce (Dakota) of Henrico, Andrew J. Burlew of Blackstone, Cody Jones (fiancée, Jenn) of Colonial Heights, Blake Jones (Kayla) of Blackstone, Daniel Jones and Gabriel and Liam Gryder; great-grandchildren, Trentin Thibodeaux and Brinley Jones; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is grateful for the amazing care and love shown by the Seaton of Chesterfield staff and Suncrest Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made in honor of Maureen to either First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of 203 N. 11th Ave., Hopewell, Va. 23860 or the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
The family plans to gather for a Celebration of Life event in spring 2023.

So sorry. I only met her one time, but a sweet caring lady. I know Dick will always miss her and remember all the good family times.
