Michael Kerwyn "Mike" Brandon

BRANDON, Michael "Mike" Kerwyn, of Midlothian, born May 22, 1946, passed away unexpectedly April 30, 2023. He was very generous with his time and love. He lit up every room with his infectious smile and witty banter. He was preceded in death by his parents, James F. Brandon Jr. and Kathleen H. Brandon; and his brother, James "Jim" F. Brandon III. He is survived by his two sons, Michael K. Brandon Jr. and Carter M. Brandon; and daughter-in-law, Meghan E. Brandon. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survived him. Mike was a high school graduate of Collegiate School and went on to be a graduate of Virginia Tech, with a Bachelor of Science in Business and has been a proud Hokie ever since. He was the co-owner of Brandon Silo Corp. with his brother, Jim, building silos in several states. In 1988, Mike began a new endeavor when starting Kerwyn Corp., building residential homes for sale. He then began buying homes to rent. We will receive friends and family on Monday, May 8, at 1 p.m., at Bethel Baptist Church, 1100 Huguenot Springs Rd., Midlothian, Va. 23113, for a memorial service to honor Mike's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be delivered to the Richmond Animal League or the Virginia Tech Alumni Association.
