Perry Raymond Summerlin Jr.

The Reverend Perry Raymond Summerlin Jr. died January 15, 2006, in Richmond, Va., after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Smithson Crow Summerlin of Richmond; and his brother, James T. Summerlin of Jacksonville, Fla. Rev. Summerlin was a graduate of McCallie School, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Presbyterian College, Clinton, S.C.; and Union-PSCE Theological Seminary, Richmond, Va. An ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), he served churches in Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia, and was a hospice chaplain in Florida, and Georgia. A native of Statesboro, Ga., he was preceded in death by his parents, P. Raymond and Margaret Shearouse Summerlin; and a sister, Florence S. Dekle, all of Statesboro. Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Friday, January 20, at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 6415 Irongate Drive, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, donations, in Rev.
