Perry Summerlin Obituary

The Reverend Perry Raymond Summerlin Jr. died January 15, 2006, in Richmond, Va., after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Smithson Crow Summerlin of Richmond; and his brother, James T. Summerlin of Jacksonville, Fla. Rev. Summerlin was a graduate of McCallie School, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Presbyterian College, Clinton, S.C.; and Union-PSCE Theological Seminary, Richmond, Va. An ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), he served churches in Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia, and was a hospice chaplain in Florida, and Georgia. A native of Statesboro, Ga., he was preceded in death by his parents, P. Raymond and Margaret Shearouse Summerlin; and a sister, Florence S. Dekle, all of Statesboro. Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Friday, January 20, at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 6415 Irongate Drive, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, donations, in Rev. Summerlin's memory, may be made to Hospice of Central Virginia, 7231 Forest Avenue, Suite 100, Richmond, Va. 23226 or to Union-PSCE, 3401 Brook Rd., Richmond, Va. 23227.

I came across this while reading the paper. Mr. Summerlin and Buck sold me the 1999 S70 Volvo in August. Raymond and your father,Buck were so nice to our family. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
