Sandra Richardson Obituary

RICHARDSON, Sandra Moody, 76, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, in Morristown, New Jersey, due to complications of COVID-19.

Sandra was born in Richmond, Virginia, on May 21, 1944, the youngest child of Henry S. Moody Sr. and his wife, Annie Louise Childress. She graduated from the Richmond Professional Institute in 1966 and worked as a nurse in Ithaca, N.Y. and New Brunswick, N.J. Following a move to Phoenix, Arizona in 1978, Sandra joined the Paradise Valley Unified School District as a school nurse, and worked there until her retirement. She was active in the Paradise Valley Educaton Association for many years. Sandra was a world traveler, a private pilot and an avid reader of mysteries.

Sandra is survived by her son, Chris, his wife, Tracy, their children, Juliana and Andrew; her sister, Genevieve Long (Glenn); her brother, Ronald Moody (JoAnn McKinley); and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be planned when it is safe to gather again. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandra's memory to the United Network for Organ Sharing (unos.org or 800-292-9548), which assists patients with transplants.

Sad to hear of Sandra's passing. My thoughts are with Chris and his family. I have fond memories of going to Buckroe Beach and Swift Creek. As youths Sandra was sort of like an older sister.
