Shirley Throckmorton Lawhorne, 89, of Varina, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Monday, August 26, 2024. The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 4 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, where a funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, September 5. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park, with a reception following at Sandston Moose Lodge. Online condolences may be left at nelsenrichmond.com
