Thomas Nolan Obituary

NOLAN, Thomas Daryl, 71, of Mechanicsville, passed away peacefully at home after a long-fought battle with cancer on Thursday, April 18, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Nolan; and father, Albert C. Nolan Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his life partner and best friend, P. Douglas Martin; siblings, Albert C. Nolan Jr., Sharon N. Ladd; niece, Jennifer VanGraafeiland (Kevin); great-nieces, Anna and Sara VanGraafeiland; and beloved cat, Scarlet. Thomas was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and a member of Sandston Presbyterian Church. He retired from Dominion Energy as a Supervisor of System Operations. Thomas loved collector cars and was a member of the Central Virginia Mustang Club. He also enjoyed the Christmas season and decorating for the holidays.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024, in Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, Va. 23150. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sandston Presbyterian Church, St. Jude's, or to the ASPCA.

Tommy was such a good & dear friend...starting with elementary school. He was so supportive of me during my cancer battle...always encouraging. He was such a good person who made me laugh often! He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Tom passing. I can still see him coming in our back door to hang out with my brother. He was always laughing! Nolan family, you are all in my prayers for God to give you comfort.
