Wanda Bell Obituary

BELL Wanda Welch Bell, 84 of Midlothian, passed away October 18, 2006 after a short bout with pancreatic cancer. She was the widow of Col. (Ret.) John C. Bell, USA. She is survived by three children, John C. Bell III, James O. Bell and wife, Helen, and Patricia E. Bell, M.D. and husband, Jeff Schul, M.D.; seven grandchildren, Lee Grubbs, Georgia Bell, Frankie Staples, and David, Eric, Hannah and Carolyn Schul; one great-grandchild, Reed Grubbs; and her sister, Paula Perea of Albany, Ga. She was an active member of the Brandermill Community and an outstanding southern cook. An enthusiastic shopper, she once entered communist East Germany to purchase china. She excelled at almost everything "except sand traps." Wanda was an avid bridge player who habitually had top boards. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 21, 1 p.m. at Brandermill Community Church. The Family will receive friends following the ceremony at her home. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
