As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

One of the first times I met Wayne he was sauntering in his shop (that I preferred to call The Cactus Lily) with a delicate bamboo cane, wearing a flat brim Panama hat and white linen suit. His mother was seated, and they were carrying on a conversation. I miss that guy! He gave Richmond character and panache that is sorely missed today.

I loved Wayne. I can't even tell you how many times he showed up magically like some kind of guardian angel when I was in the middle of a difficult situation, offering time, labor and comfort. It was almost like he had a radar for when I needed help.

Wayne was great. Such a vibrant personality. He outfitted my pop trio with all manner of stage apparel, including a WW I wool admiral's jacket & matching pants. Condolences and blessings

We had the pleasure of taking care of and spending time with Wayne these past few months. He brought smiles to our faces and memories that we will hold in our hearts. We want to thank Sue and Rusty for entrusting him to our care. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. Dawn , Kenny, Patricia and Karron--The Byrd House

My entire family loved Wayne. He visited us one day and our granddaughter ,who was about 6 years old ,told him she wanted to go fishing. He ran home and immediately brought her back a pole and showed her how to use it.
His kindness and thoughtfulness will always be remembered.

Wayne, I'm still disbelieving that you are gone because even with your health challenges you were like the Energize bunny and kept going and going. I drove your beloved Nissan pickup a few days ago to keep the battery charged and was hoping you were enjoying the ride with me. It was a beautiful sunny day in Stratford Harbour that you used to enjoy so much. God bless you and may you rest in peace my friend.
