William Baucom Obituary
Blake was born on May 23, 1993, and raised in Chesterfield County, Virginia. As the firstborn son and grandson, Blake was a kind and sweet child. He carried that temperament throughout his life. Blake was always ready with a supportive word and an offer to help in any way that he could. He thought of others, he was a kind man to all and he had a way of connecting with people across all generations. He had a special place in his heart for animals and was a sucker for a cute puppy…aren't we all?
His time with us was too brief and we have been so fortunate to have had him in our lives. He is loved, he will be missed and he will hold a special place in our hearts forever. We are sure he is now with the LORD and will join both of his grandfathers, Donald (Papa) Rowe and William Douglas (Pops) Baucom. They are waiting with open arms.
He is survived by his mother and father, Kristy and Mike Baucom; his siblings, Kelly Baucom Smith, Matthew Baucom and Reilly Baucom; his two grandmothers, Sylvia "Granny" Baucom, Sara "Nana" Rowe' and Peggy "Nana Peggy" Campbell (his additional grandmother of the heart); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.
Services for Blake will be limited to family and interment will be private. A livestreamed memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made in memory of Blake Baucom to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/donate/.
