Albina Cole Obituary
Albina (nee Sopko) Simon Cole, of Swoyersville, formerly of Noxen, died Friday, April 15, 2011, at Manor Care, Kingston. Born September 2, 1923, in Swoyersville, Albina was a daughter of the late John William Sopko and Albina Palonis Sopko. She was preceded in death by Jacob Simon, Dana Cole, and granddaughter Nichole Swan Gordon. She is survived by her children, Joseph (Susan) Simon, Swoyersville; John, Rockview, Pa.; Sandra Simon-McCarron (Ron), Rockledge, Fla.; and Michal Simon-Razvillas (Robert) Cocoa, Fla.; and grandchildren, Joseph Simon (Brenda), Noxen, Pa.; John Simon, Plymouth; Cheryl LeBlanc (Greg), Cocoa, Fla.; Tina Ely (Tim); Jon McCarron, Cocoa Fla.; Ronnie McCarron Jr., Titusville, Fla.; and Laura Donaldson (Ian), Frederick, Md.;15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Florence Sopko Cwiklik (Walter), Wanamie; her brother, Adam Sopko, Inkerman, and several nieces and nephews For many years, Albina served as Justice of the Peace in Wyoming County, and was active in the Back Mountain Counsel of Girl Scouts, running the local Noxen troop. At her request there will be no viewing or funera l. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, you give a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, or to a charity of your choice. A graveside memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Orcutt's Cemetery (new section), Noxen, Pa.
