PLAINS TWP. — Arline Ricci, of Plains Township, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 80.
Born April 21, 1942, in Hanover Township, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Helen Elkiewicz Halas. After graduating from Hanover Area High School in 1959, she went on to have a 43-year career as a computer programmer with the Social Security Administration.
Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Jerry Ricci; daughter, Lisa Greene and her husband Mark of Easton, Md.; son, Eric Ricci and his wife Christina of Trucksville, Pa.; grandchildren: Noah and Hannah Greene, and Gio Ricci; sister, Antoinette Halas of Dallas, Pa.; brother, Stanley Halas and his wife Nancy of Hanover Township, Pa.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Arline's faith was a very important part of her life. She was an active member of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church in Hanover Township, including serving several years as a CCD teacher. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who always put others' happiness above her own.
Arline enjoyed traveling, with some of her favorite trips being those she took to Ireland and Italy with family. In addition to traveling, she loved to go shopping with friends, having spent a countless number of days shopping with her dear friend, Barbara. While at home, her best days were those spent with her grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church in Hanover Township. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Per her request, there will be no calling hours.
