My mother Bette Owens Stewart met Ellen on their first day of kindergarden and remained friends with her the remainder of her life. When I was young, I remember visiting with Ellen and Darryl when we would come back to Trucksville to visit my grandparents. My condolences to her daughters and their families. Ellen was a special lady.
