PLYMOUTH — Theodore "Teddy" Killian, 72, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024.
Born on June 26, 1952, in Plymouth, he was the son of Theodore J. Killian, of Mountain Top, and the late Alberta Novick Killian, who passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024. Teddy was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1970, and of Luzerne County Community College. He attended Bloomsburg University.
He was the owner and operator of TF Audio, where he was a sound engineer for many years. He worked with numerous local and national musical artists.
Teddy had a great passion, studying coal mining draglines. He enjoyed photographing, renovating and operating the dragline machines.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, the former Mary-Beth Korutz; sister, Coleen Hoffman and her husband Charles, of Daytona Beach, Fla; brother, Rick Killian and his wife Marie, of Lancaster, Pa.; nieces and nephews: Kevin Killian and his wife, Gabriela; Eric Killian and his wife, Dominque; Laura Killian; Alex Hoffman and his wife, Taylor; Karine Hoffman-Reynolds and her husband, Benton; and his beloved pet dog, Pumpkin Pie.
Funeral receiving line will take place from 10 to 11 a.m Saturday in St. Jude’s Parish, Mountain Top. A Mass of Christian Burial for Teddy's mother, Alberta Killian, will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Interment for Teddy will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to the S. J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.

so sorry for your loss Mary Beth. Ted was a great guy. One of the best sound men around. I had the pleasure to work with him as he was the sound technician for Wilkes university's graduations as well as many other smaller venues for many years. His expertise made all of them sound perfect. we became good friends and I will miss him. Thank you Ted for everything you did for me and Wilkes University.

I offer my sincere condolences I was his caregiver for sometime and I became friends with him and his wife, teddy was a wonderful person. May he rest easy now he was loved.
