I am so very sad to hear about Charlie's passing. He would come in and purchase parts from us at Purvis Ind. Exceptionally nice man. Very honored to have known him. My prayers are with your family. God Bless.

To the family, I knew Charlie only a few years, yet was inspired by his kindness, sense of humor, and dedication to various causes. Specifically, I knew him through Rotary and as a board member of the Burkburnett Senior Citizens Center, from which he relentlessly recruited me and others to join and help (it was an honor for all). He truly was always smiling and so genuine in his demeanor. Thinking about his smile, there was one time when he removed his dentures at a board meeting and thought that was pretty funny! I don't recall why he did it, but it is cemented in my head! Charlie had a great sense of humor, and I loved his laugh. He was quite down to earth as well. I always looked up to him, respected him greatly, yet he was so naturally humble, very successful, and not a boastful bone in his body. He was a natural light for all and will surely be missed. In his deeply thoughtful, quiet way, Charlie was an inspiration to many and a great man. I will remember him always. My deepest condolences go out to the entire family.

I'm deeply saddened by the loss of my friend, Charlie. His sense of humor and interaction with the early-morning coffee drinkers at McDonald's was priceless and a great beginning for every ones day. Even as I'm shedding tears for your great loss, I'm honored to remember one of the best persons I ever met. Our common Texoma connections strengthened/enhanced our relationship and friendship and story telling. My condolences to you, Patty, and your family.

My thoughts are with Patty and Charlie's family. While his obituary highlights the events of Charlie's life, it can't touch what Charlie was as a man. He was thoughtful, funny, and cared for the community. For years, he gave space in his building to the Burkburnett Friends of the Library for storage. Charlie was always available to help load and unload the books from the Book Sale, even using his own trailer and pickup to move the books. Charlie was a good man, in the best sense of the word. He will be missed by many.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Lived by my aunt and uncle Pam and Phil Arrington and met him at senior citizens luncheons . He was a very nice man and was blessed to have what little time I had to know him.

Pam and I moved in our new home down the street from Charlie and Patty. That was in late 1986. We quickly got to know both of them and knew they were real friends. Charlie always had a smile and would help a person when in need. He volunteered his time and expertise in several different matters. He spent time helping me put down a new lawn and install a sprinkler system. Later I went with him helping others with new lawns. He never asked for anything in return, he was a great friend and person. Several times when the Red River was up, we’d get in the plane to fly and locate trapped or lost cattle. Yep, Charlie always had a sincere big smile and never met a stranger. He’ll truly be missed.

My sincere condolences to the family of Charles McCullough. I have a cover-up and he would supply me parts and help me keep it running. I finally made the trip up to Burkburnett to meet the man that would send me the parts and wait for me to send him the payment. He gave me the tour of his operation, and I met his wife too. Again my sincere condolences. Ralph Bullard Bullard's Irrigation

Patty, Ricky and I are so sorry to hear about Charlie's passing. I'll never forget a conversation at Modern Butane with Charlie. Ricky and I were looking for a place to build a new house. Charlie said," I'll sell you all the land you want to mow." He had a great sense of humor and would do anything for you. We will dearly miss him.
