Frank T. (Dude) Dudish 1919 - 2018
CANASTOTA - Frank T. (Dude) Dudish, at the age of 98, formerly of Canastota, NY, died, Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at the Extended Care Facility, after being a patient for the past six years.
Frank was born in Bayonne, NJ, on October 12, 1919, the son of Frank and Sophia Ilvanczyk Dudish. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army Second Armored Division, for three years, in North Africa, Sicily and France with the Heavy Artillery 845. Frank was the widower of Eunice Fiore, of Canastota, who he married on November 26, 1945; Eunice passed away on March 3, 2012. He was employed at Carrier Corp., in Syracuse, NY, for over thirty years as a spot welder. Frank was a kind and considerate person. He enjoined gardening and was always sharing his vegetables with his friends and family.
Surviving are two brothers, Nick Dudish, of Ilion and John Dudish, of Little Falls, NY; also several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Dudish Samsel and Anna Thornton; and a brother, Michael Dudish.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Fiore Funeral Home, 317 S. Peterboro St., Canastota, NY with the Rev. Richard Kapral, of Oneida, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, June 1, 2018 from noon to 2 p.m., prior to the funeral. Burial will be made in St. Agatha's Cemetery, Canastota, NY.
