Carol was one of the first friends we made when we moved into our Loudonville home in the late 70s, largely because her daughter Lynn and our daughter Annice were pals in elementary and middle school, and often visited each other's homes. At one point, when my husband and I had to work until 5, and Annice was facing the prospect of being a latch key kid, Carol offered to let her stay at her home with Lynn until my husband could pick her up. We will never forget that kindness, or the frienship that seemed to evolve so naturally between us. Although we sold our home many years ago and rarely have occasion to pass by Marie Parkway, whenever we do go by we think of Carol and her warm heart and caring personality -- how she was taken much too soon and how lucky we were to call her our friend.
