Reisner, Daniel T. WATERVLIET Daniel T Reisner, 54, of Watervliet, N.Y. passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 following a brief illness and a courageous battle, with his family at his bed side. Dan was born in Troy on May 9, 1957. He attended grammar school at St. Patrick's School on 19th Street in Watervliet and graduated from Catholic Central High School in Troy in 1975. He grew up and spent his entire life in the city that he loved, Watervliet. He started his career with Price Chopper (Golub Corporation) when he was 16 years old and worked there for 39 years. Dan was a socialite who loved to smile and make people laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and spent many summer days with them at the Saratoga Racetrack, Grafton State Park, and most recently Robin's camp. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and he loved music, especially the Beatles. Dan enjoyed rocking out to the jukebox, karaoke style, when he went out and never cared who was watching. He was an avid sports fan, who never missed a NY Yankee baseball game. He also liked the Oakland Raiders and made sure that all three televisions were on in the living room for football season. Dan was predeceased by his loving parents, Raymond (Eddie) and Marion (Jean) Giaquinto Reisner of Watervliet. He is survived by his loving children, Kristen (Eric) Rouleau of Poestenkill, Lisa Reisner of Colonie, and Dan Reisner of Albany who were so proud of him. He is also survived by his sweetie, Robin Robillard and her children Jessica (Lewis) Robillard and Justin (Mandy) Robillard all of Watervliet. He was an amazing "Grampa Dan" to his adoring grandsons, Austin and Dylan Rouleau who he loved very much. He also loved and was loved by Robin's beautiful granddaughters, Amirah, Alyvia, and MaKenna. In addition, he is survived by his loving brother, Raymond (Rhonda) Reisner of Watervliet, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by so many friends that the list could go on for pages. His life-long friends, Joey Judge, Tom Murphy and Paul Russman have been like brothers to him since childhood, as many others were along the way. Dan's philosophy in life was "Wake up every day with a smile on your face and do the best you can." This was truly how he lived his life, and he will be missed by everyone who knew him. "Alrighty then!" Dan's funeral will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 25th Street and 7th Avenue in Watervliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by his childhood friend, Reverend John J. Tallman. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Parker Bros.
