Harold Barrett Obituary
MENANDS - April 20, 1941 - January, 6, 2025
Harold Barrett Jr. of Menands, N.Y., completed his circle of life on January 6, 2025, at the age of 83.
Harold was a caring and friendly man, survived by his two sons, Harold Barrett II (wife, Bernice) and Michael Barrett; daughter, Deborah Comfort (husband, Charles); three grandchildren, Stephen Barrett, Jamie Hockey-Barrett, and Emma Comfort; and his brother, Wayne Barrett. We would be remiss to not mention his beloved sister and brother-in-law, predeceased, Lois and Leo Nolan.
He had a great love of sports and his country, serving in the New York National Guard. When not at home, Harold could be found in the bleachers of a local baseball stadium, in the stands at a hockey match (a proud season ticket holder for the Albany River Rats), or enjoying the warm weather at Saratoga Racetrack.
A friend to everyone, Harold will be sorely missed by all he came in contact with; most recently the staff at Shaker Place and many of its residents.
The family will gather and celebrate Harold's life later this year, and in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Harold's name to a charity that has impacted your life.

I'm so sorry to read of the loss of your dad and my former neighbor. Your dad was such a lovely man and he was so caring and kind to me when I moved in on my own and hadn't a clue how to manage a property! He always made sure I was OK. May he rest in peace and may all of you be comforted by good memories of your time together.

We are so sorry to hear of Harold's passing. He shared meals with my Mom (Helen) at Shaker Place and we so enjoyed sitting in the sun in the courtyard. May he rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

My Grandfather was truly a one of a kind man who touched so many lives, I've never heard anyone speak a bad word about him and seldom heard him speak ill of others. He touched so many lives, and we are all beyond lucky to have had him in ours.
