James Crisafulli Obituary

Crisafulli, James ALBANY James Crisafulli died peacefully on Friday, July 4, 2014, in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by family. Born in Antillo, Italy, he came to America in 1952. He was the son of the late Joseph and Domenica Curto Crisafulli. Jim retired from Sterling Organic in East Greenbush as a chemical engineer. Prior to that he was a barber in Phil's Barber Shop. He was a longtime communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. Jim enjoyed golfing, bowling, the Saratoga Race Course, OTB with his buddies, but most of all spending time with his son's family, Jim, Shannon, Gabriella, Emma and Juliana. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was the husband of the late Leda S. Calabro; beloved father of James Crisafulli (Shannon); cherished grandfather of Gabriella, Emma and Juliana Crisafulli; brother of Attilo Crisafulli (Italia), Charles Crisafulli (late Judy), Lee Pietrocola (Richard) and the late Joseph Crisafulli, Mary Curto (late Victor), Fiore Crisafulli; brother-in-law of Nancy Crisafulli, Nina Crisafulli, Peter Calabro (Susan) and Giovani Calabro (Lelly); son-in-law of the late Carmelo and Consolata Calabro; many nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to their friend Alice for the care she gave James, along with the doctors and nurses of St. Peter's Health Partners, especially Dr. Dooley, Monica, Joan and John. Funeral services, Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 8:15 a.m., from McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen St., Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 9 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday, July 7, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the funeral home. Interment, Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Those wishing to remember James Crisafulli in a special way may send a contribution to Blessed Sacrament Sports Program, 607 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12206.
