ALBANY - Religious of the Sacred Heart, Judith "Judy" Garson, passed away on November 3, 2025, in Albany, N.Y. Sister Garson was born on April 11, 1936, in New York, N.Y., to William E. Garson and Eugenia Garson. She was an alumna of Manhattanville College and Columbia University, and she taught at Sacred Heart Schools in Conn. and N.J. She served in province administration, and on the General Council in Rome. Sister Garson was the Executive Director of Little Sisters of the Assumption Family Health Service for 25 years. The Mass of the Resurrection for Sister Judy Garson will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Madeleine Sophie Catholic Church, 3500 Carman Rd., Schenectady, N.Y. 12303. Burial at the Kenwood Cemetery of the Religious of the Sacred will follow the service. The Mass will be livestreamed.
