Margaret Goodrich Obituary

Goodrich, Margaret E. CASTLETON Margaret E. Goodrich, 80, of Castleton, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009, peacefully at home. Born in Rensselaer, she was the daughter of the late Spike Gilbert and Margaret Quigley Gilbert and wife of the late William Goodrich. She resided in Castleton-on-Hudson and was retired from the N.Y.S. Department of Labor. Survivors include her brother, Ed (Pat) Gilbert; sister, Grace (Bill) Kirsch; son, Hal (Pam) Homer; daughters, Judith Brewer (Johnny) and Janice (Brad) Avary; beloved grandchildren, Shannon Rose, Kelley (Brock), Katey (Tony), and Karley Delaney, Autumn and Mariah Homer and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ted Gilbert and Kay Haggerty; and by her grandson, Klint Delaney. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. She will be missed dearly. There will be no calling hours and the funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment, Holy Sepul-chre Cemetery, Rensselaer. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Castleton Fire Company, 11 Green Ave., Castleton NY 12033.
