Mark A. Hanlon

Hanlon, Mark A. EARLTON Mark A. Hanlon, 42, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016, at home, with his loving family by his side after a long battle with cancer. Mark was a 1991 graduate of R-C-S High School. He worked for Essandent, the former United Stationery, for 20 years. Mark was an avid sportsman, born to hunt but forced to work. He loved ATV's, snowmobiling and playing in the mud with his truck. He also loved car shows and winning trophies, he was the owner of a 1965 Buick Electra 225. Survivors include his fiancee, Cheryl Foster; and her sons, Gerald and Steven Lutz; his mother, Arvonda (Ashby) Hanlon; siblings, Curtis (Kelly) Hanlon and his son CJ, and Wade (Andrea) Hanlon and his son, Wade Jr.; uncle, Lonnie Ashby of Kentucky; and many special and close friends and relatives. He was loved by all. Mark was predeceased by his father, Leroy W. Hanlon; grandparents, Bertha and Junior Wade Ashby, Mary Thatcher and Leroy Hanlon. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Solid Rock Church, Glenmont. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Selkirk. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
