Mary Kozel Obituary
LAKE GEORGE - Mary Lou Kozel passed on October 9, 2024.
She was born and raised in Troy, N.Y., the daughter of the late John J. Lucas and Marie (Demers) Lucas.
On February 27, 1965, she married her husband, Vincent W. Kozel. She was predeceased by her son, Vincent J. Kozel.
Mary Lou was a loving mother of Debra (Glen) Nelson and Richard Kozel (Heather Partridge). She was the loving grandmother of Tara (Jon) Nelson-Parker, Nicholas Nelson (Keilan Christopher), Vincent Kozel, Zachary Kozel, Ryan Kozel, and Brendan Kozel. She was the loving sister of Diana Marshall, John (Carole) Lucas, and Christina Dougall (John Tumy).
Mary Lou loved spending time with her family at her homes in Lake George, N.Y., and Cape Coral, Fla.
A Catholic mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., in Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave., Albany, N.Y. 12203.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude's Research Hospital in Mary Lou's memory.
