Ralph A. Biance

Biance, Ralph A. RAVENA Ralph A. Biance, 78, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, November 18, 2016. Ralph worked at the New York State Thruway Authority for 43 years as a welder and was also the union representative. He was the president of the Ravena Coeymans Historical Society for many years. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Ralph loved watching paranormal shows and locating very old cemeteries. He loved his history. He loved spending time with family and his cat, Kitty Kitty. He also enjoyed going to the "Spoon" for morning coffee and chatting with his friends. Ralph is survived by his daughter, Joanne Biance; son, Mark Biance (Sandy); step-child, Rhonda Williams; brother, Ron (Cathy) Biance; sister, Penny Wilpers (Chuck); six grandchildren; one step-grandchild; five great-grandchildren; two nieces; three nephews; many friends, and his good friend Tom Dolan. Ralph was predeceased by his wife, Linda; and his parents, Ralph and Ruth. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena, on Tuesday, November 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23. Interment will follow at Indian Fields Cemetery, Alcove. For those who wish, donations in memory of Ralph may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
